What can a Photography Pro teach a property investor?

Professional photographers, like property investors, can be some of the most unwavering and persistent people.

Sometimes, we can get lucky by being in the right place at the right time, but more often than not, we have many attempts before we get the money shot.

Most of the exquisite images we see in landscape photography don’t happen by chance.

Photographers spend countless hours researching and planning the shot meticulously...

seeking out the best vantage point, the best structures to shoot and the right tools to use.

As property investors, inadequate research can result in a poorly selected property investment that could cost you dearly in the end.

Do your due diligence and verify all data independently- don’t leave anything to chance.

One of the mistakes landscapes photographers can make is packing too soon and missing amazing opportunities.

In property investing, you reap the rewards by sticking it out over the long term. Don’t be tempted to bail out too soon unless you really have to.

Case in point- the property boom in Sydney. Between 2002 and 2013, there was a decade of slow to no growth.

Just look at the Sydney market now! Patience really is a virtue.

In reality there really is no such thing as a  perfect investment property. Waiting for the right one to show up can cost you dearly in terms of lost opportunity.

If the numbers stack up and you can accept the limitations, go for it, take the shot, you have to be in the game to win!!
